Matt grew up in Santa Cruz County as a multi-sport athlete and collegiate football player with multiple injuries and ankle surgery that led to his path to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. As a father of 2 girls, Matt has developed a passion for staying healthy and active in order to run and play with his kids for as long as possible and promote an active lifestyle for his family and other families. Matt has a manual-focused background from Western University of Health Sciences, with a Movement System Impairments’ assessment and treatment learned from his previous mentors at Precision Physical Therapy. Matt enjoys participating in the Santa Cruz Triathlon, playing golf and basketball, hiking, and gardening in his backyard.
Dan Melton is a dedicated wellness and strength coach with a strong foundation in exercise science. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Rehabilitation Science and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Kinesiology at San Jose State University, specializing in Exercise Physiology.
Dan brings a wealth of experience to his work, having served as a Fitness Director, a personal trainer, and has worked as a Physical Therapist Aide. These roles have given him a unique perspective on bridging the gap between rehabilitation and training.
Certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a personal trainer, Dan also holds a specialization in Performance Enhancement (PES) and is CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. His comprehensive expertise ensures that clients of all fitness levels receive safe, effective, and personalized guidance toward their goals.
When he’s not coaching, Dan enjoys an active lifestyle filled with outdoor sports. He loves running, playing basketball, and snowboarding. At home, Dan values time with his family, often playing games and creating memories.
Fun Fact: Dan spent two years playing semi-professional football in the Midwest, showcasing his dedication to athletic performance and teamwork.

Dr. Rachel grew up in Santa Cruz and has a passion for fitness. Having competed in women’s bodybuilding and worked as a personal trainer, she has firsthand experience with the demands of intensive training. After facing injuries and undergoing physical therapy, she felt like the treatment lacked personalization, which made her determined to study physical therapy.
Rachel graduated from Hawaii Pacific University’s inaugural Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Her goal is to empower people to express themselves through movement and to offer individualized care meeting each client’s needs.
